Terms of service

Welcome to GAME圈 (at gcgame.cc, the "Service" or "we"). The Service is a community platform for players in Taiwan to discuss games, share guides, look up game info, and find teammates. By browsing, signing up for, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms, the community guidelines, and the privacy policy. If you disagree with any part, please stop using the Service.

1. Accounts and registration

  • You can log in to the Service with a Google or Discord account; we never obtain your passwords for these platforms. Please keep your third-party accounts secure; all actions taken through your account are deemed to be your own.
  • Please provide your correct birthday. It is used only to determine whether you are an adult, which decides whether you can view 18+ and gambling-related content.
  • Users under 18 should use the Service only after their legal representative (parent or guardian) has read and agreed to these terms.
  • Usernames and display names may not impersonate others, game companies, or the Service's official staff or administrators, and may not contain obscene, discriminatory, or rights-infringing words.
  • One account per person, as a rule. If you find your account has been compromised, immediately log out other devices in "Member center › Device management" and contact us.

2. User content and license

  • Copyright in the posts, comments, images, videos, ratings, polls, wiki edits, messages, and other content you publish on the Service ("User Content") remains with you or the original rights holder.
  • You grant the Service a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, sublicensable to vendors that help operate the Service, to reproduce, publicly transmit, publicly display, adapt (e.g. thumbnails, format conversion, cropping, automatic summaries), and distribute the User Content you publish publicly, for the purpose of operating, displaying, and promoting the Service. This license ends when you delete the content, except where it has already been shared or quoted by others or must be retained by law.
  • Wiki content is collaboratively edited: you agree that other users may modify and build on your contributions; the Service keeps edit logs and version history. Even if your account is deleted, your wiki contributions may remain, with attribution changed to "Deleted member".
  • Anonymous posts and comments: when you post anonymously, other users only see "Anonymous player" and an alias, but anonymous content must still follow these terms and the community guidelines. Moderators and admins can see the real author in order to handle reports and maintain order, and we will provide necessary data when required by law.
  • You warrant that you have the legal right to publish your content and that it does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, portrait rights, privacy, or other rights. When reposting others' content, credit the source and obtain permission. You are solely responsible for any third-party claims arising from your content.
  • Under the community guidelines, the Service may hide, delete, move, or add 18+ or spoiler labels to violating content, or restrict account features.

3. Prohibited conduct

  • Any conduct that violates the laws of the Republic of China or the community guidelines.
  • Using scripts, crawlers, or automated tools to scrape data in bulk, spam posts, or disrupt the Service without our written consent.
  • Attempting to break into systems, bypass security or permission mechanisms, access unauthorized data, or stress-test the Service.
  • Spreading malware or phishing links, or using the Service for fraud, illegal trading of accounts or virtual items, gambling, or other illegal activities.
  • Using alt accounts to evade suspensions, or manipulating polls, ratings, rankings, or like counts.
  • Revealing others' personal data (such as real names, phone numbers, addresses, or photos) without consent.

4. Content provided by the Service

  • Rights to game titles, trademarks, cover art, screenshots, and the like belong to the respective game companies or rights holders; the Service uses them as fair use for introduction, commentary, and discussion. If a rights holder believes the use is inappropriate, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
  • Game data (release dates, platforms, genres, etc.) is partly compiled from public databases and official stores. News and roundup articles published by GAME圈 editors may use automated tools to assist with translation and compilation, and include verifiable original sources. This information is for reference only; official announcements from each game take precedence.
  • Deal and price information is compiled by the Service; actual prices, deadlines, and terms are as listed on each store's page. The Service is not party to any transaction and does not guarantee information is current or accurate; price alerts and push notifications may be delayed or not delivered due to system or network issues.
  • When you visit third-party websites (game stores, official sites, video platforms, Discord, etc.), their terms and privacy policies apply; the Service is not responsible for third-party website content.

5. Service changes, interruptions, and termination

  • The Service may be suspended due to maintenance, upgrades, outages, or force majeure; we will try to announce this on the site in advance.
  • We may add, adjust, or discontinue some features as operational needs require.
  • If you violate these terms or the community guidelines, we may, depending on the circumstances, warn you, restrict features, suspend or terminate your account, and remove related content. You can submit an appeal via "Contact us".
  • You can deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time in "Member center › Account". For how your data is handled, see the privacy policy.

6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully meet your needs.
  • User Content (including guides, ratings, Q&A, and submissions) represents only the personal views of its author, not the position of the Service, and the Service does not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or safety. You assume the risk of acting on any guide or advice.
  • Disputes between users arising from finding teammates, interactions, or private trades are to be resolved by the parties involved; the Service will help provide necessary data to the extent permitted by law.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service.

7. Intellectual property

The Service's name, logo, site design, code, and content created by us are owned by the Service. Do not reproduce, adapt, or use them commercially without written consent.

8. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms due to legal or service changes. Revisions will be posted on this page with an updated date; significant changes will also be announced on the site or via notification. Continuing to use the Service after the revisions take effect means you agree to the revised terms.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China. For any dispute arising from these terms, both parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court shall be the court of first instance, except where mandatory provisions of law (such as the Consumer Protection Act) provide otherwise.
